Linux Installation Problems

I'm trying to install Fedora Core 5 on my AMD 64 system. I downloaded the five ISO files and burned them to discs. I put the first disc in, rebooted, set BIOS to boot from CD but when I go to boot it tells me it isn't a bootable disc. I then used DAEMON Tools to open the ISO file and copied all of the files to new discs but I still get the same error when I try to boot from the disc. How do I install Linux Fedora Core 5?

Hi, and welcome to LQ!

Ideally you'll burn the ISOs as that, under Nero for instance using
the special option to Burn Image file to disk.

If you a) burn the ISO to disk as a file you have gained nothing but
a backup of that ISO and b) burn the files inside the ISO to disk you
miss out on the bootable bits.

Look here for details:

Cheers,
Tink

Have you tried creating a boot CD using the boot.iso image?
