Linux Installation Problems
 

Please Help me with the installation of Linux. I have an old gateway 266. I am trying to convert it to Linux. I tried Red Hat Linux. First it wont recognize my CD ROM. Luckily I had an external CDRW attached. So it did recognize the parallel port. Then I picked the wrong muose driver. It did load up but the mouse didnt function. So I tried again from scratch. And after asking for the 2nd CD Redhat gave an error. I want a linux but its fustrating. If somebody can help me it will be great. I tried Corel also but it wont get past the boot disk! So please any advise you all can give is greatly appreciated.
