CD burners are a little weird in linux. It must be defined as a scsi device in your boot loader. And you need to have the modules loaded for it.

Again, search the hardware forum.

The partition numbering scheme in Linux has primary numbered 1-4 and logical numbered 5-a whole bunch. So two primary(with one extended) partitions and two logical drives would be 1-2-5-6. numbered
