As I start Linux INSERT cd, the message: Detecting USB/Firewire....Done. "can't find file system", sorry. Dropping you to a (very limited) shell.
Press reset button to reset.
I burnned the cd from an iso file downloaded from official site.

You don't quite give enough information here.

What CD did you burn? Was it a Linux distribution, and if so, which one?

Did you burn the cd as an image or just a set of files. You must burn it as an image for it to boot correctly.

Give us more info and include specs of your computer too and we can help more.

Your profile shows Ubuntu. Is that what you are using? The current Ubuntu iso is 970+MB and won't fit on a CD. Are you using a DVD. Which release of Ubuntu if you are using Ubuntu? What hardware do you have, how old is the computer?

Thanks yancek and jkirchner for your answers. My computer is not old at all, MSI mobo, 8 gb RAM, 2 hard disk 1tb+500gb. CPU AMD phenom 4x 3.2 GHz, any way it's fine. I burned UbuntuStudio live DVD and CAE live DVD everything was OK. And of course another copy of Linux Insert. I burned them using Windows 7 ultimate 64 platform not Linux. The first copy of Insert was burned with an application that came with Hiren´s CD 15.2 and second one with Ultra Iso. Both copies of Insert boots with the same message. I will try to download Linux Insert again, in the case the first one was corrupted. And of course I burned from an Iso image. Thanks for any help

Test iso download with md5.

Not finding issue may be that a driver is not included in to properly access drives.

Sometimes making a usb from a live iso can also do this since boot issues confuse cd-usb.

According to distrowatch insert is discontinued and since the last release was 2007 I would agree that the required modules i.e sata are probably not included.

According to the CAELinux web site, it was originally meant to run from a Live DVD and not be installed. An update on the page indicates that it is based on Ubuntu 12.04 and apparently now has an installer. At the link below, you can see another link in the upper left to their forums which might be useful to review or even post there.

If you try to put the iso file on a DVD, you need to select the option to "burn as an image" for it to be bootable. Are the downloads 64bit? I've never used the windows software you refer to. Your original message makes reference to "Detecting USB", did you use some software to try to create a bootable flash drive?

I have no problems with the CAELinux live DVD yabcek, it works fine. My problem is with INSERT Linux CD. It’s supposed to be burned in a 3” CD I did on a 3” 185 MB CD (Insert size is 60 MB), It runs from a credit card-sized CD-ROM for convenient transport or download and is basically a stripped-down version of Knoppix. INSERT provides full read-write support for NTFS-partitions using captive-ntfs. It purposes is as Rescue Security. Architecture: x86. I guess this is no problem to run in 64 bit CPU. And may be as Michaelk says SATA drivers are probably not included: The last version realizes was in 2007. I also don’t have tested the download with md5, but I’ll do it.

I will run Insert live CD in a PC with IDE drives and with x86 architecture and if it work OK,
