Linux Help!!!


Hi guys!!!
I'm a newbie with linux, i removed windows on my HD
and now i'm trying to install Linux, and i have a lot of problem

SUSE 10.2 the installation block a random
Debian block on load
Mandriva 2007 error kernel panic can't mount Vfs on root (8,6)

i tryed on other pc and the installation work!!

guys someone help me

My specs

AMD athlon 64x2 4600
3gb ram DDR 2
Nvidia 7600GT 256
MB M2N4-SLI
HD SATA2 160GB

Can you please provide us with more information?

Do the installation disks you have work on other machines without problems - if so, then that rules out a problem with the media.
It is possibly a hardware problem - either bad ram, or crucial hardware (like hdd controller) not being recognised.

What version of Debian are you trying to install.

Debian is 4.0
and blcok after loading io scheduler cfq registered(default)

i resolved
I had 3Gb ram
2 ddr 800 1.0 Gb
1 ddr 533 1.0 Gb
i removed the 533 ram and start

then i loaded the installation with acpi=off and irqpoll and installation start!!!

The Ram Is Good but for some reason Linux don't like memory mix XD
