openGL not Working

I did as everbody said and got Quake III and the nvidia drivers installed but not correctly.

When I run quake3 i get
"Error: Glimp_Init() - could not load OpenGL subsystem."

I tried reinstalling the drivers but I can't, It is already installed.
Somedy told me to make sure that I have
/usr/lib/libGL.so.1 as a symlink to /usr/lib/GL/libGL.so.1.0.1231.nv_glx but I do not have any of this files.

I think you might have found this out by now b/c it's quite simple, but for those who haven't yet: Right click on the foot and you'll see the option that allows you to move it around.

Ah, finally something I know!

the gl links are going to be different on different systems - check the readme's that came with the nvidia drivers to see if your links are correct.

ok this might be off-topic but it does have to do with games and such....

I have the SiS 6326 AGP Video card and i have Xfree86 4.1.0 installed but whenever i try to anything with 3D (screensavers, games, tuxracer won't even run) it just won't do anything...i was wondering what would cause this and how i would fix it....any info would be appreciated....

thanks,
Brad

i figured it out now...i just went to a console (before starting X) and ran XF86config
it asked me a bunch of questions about my hardware (monitor, video card, etc..) i answered them and now it works ...tuxracer still runs slow but not nearly as slow as before....i think its my processor but i'm gettin a fastter one soon anyways....
