Well the new MY Yahoo crashed Konqueror again today. OK, so I am running an older system, an AMD K6 chip, Mandrake 10.1, and KDE 3.1.0. I don't feel I should have to configure my system to match anybody's website. I have consistently found Yahoo unfriendly to Linux and I don't expect it to improve after Microsoft buys them. If I go away mad, where is a good place to pick up a news summery, a few comics, and maybe my email?

Note, soon I will have a new system with an Athalon 3500 chip and whatever Debian my son in law is using.

I am not a fan of portals---I would just go to specific sites for what you want.

All I remember about Yahoo is that they have some good forums--eg Printing and Printers.

Have you tried a recent version of Firefox? I would expect far more non-standard sites to work with FF than with Konqueror.
