Linux Freezing!


Hi im running linux in runlevel 3

Now when i end the Current KDE Session it freeses at

synaptics deviceOff called

I can control - c back to promt but it getting annoying

Can anyone help please?>

Hmm

Ok no help so far!



I think this has something to do with my USB wireless thing

It only freezes when i exit KDE when its not plugged in!

How can i completly uninstall it???

runlevel 3 is for multiuser console only 5 is for the gui. uninstalling your usb wireless device would depend on what one it is and what driver it uses.

ok i only use runlevel 3 because i dont want it to go into GUI at start i prefer text based to start!!!!

so do:

init 5
to go into level 5 first and see if it fixes you problem

are you using a laptop? synaptics is a touchpad driver. there could be a problem with it, you might want to upgrade it or remove if you aren't using it.
