Linux Domain server Windows Client

What is the best way to impliment a Domain controller using linux with windows clients? I am having issues figureing this out any help will be much appreciated!

What distribution of linux are you planning to put up? There is Fedora Directory server that you can use.
There is also this: http://freeipa.org/page/Main_Page. It is also an implementation of FDS.
