Linux DHCP giving out 2 IPs with PXEboot

HI folks,
I'm new to the group and very new to Linux. Forgive me if this has been answered before, but I've had a troll through and couldn't find anything related.

We have a couple of DHCP servers running on RedHat Linux 7.2 on our estate.
Problem is that if I use PXEboot to deploy images out to computers, the DHCPs hand out 2 IP addresses. One for the PXE boot image and the other for the installed OS. Our normal IP lease time is 2 weeks so each PC on a particular subnet holds onto both IPs which creates a shortage in some subnets. I have read this is a known issue, but wondering if anyone knows of a resolve or can point me in the right direction?

Thanks for your help.
Rob

Is the MAC address changing? A DHCP server won't give different addresses to the same MAC if there is an existing lease.

I haven't actually checked what the IP of the OS was once the image is installed. I imagine the IP to be the same for the OS as the lease is for a fortnight, but there's still a different second IP assigned to the PXEboot, which holds onto the IP even after PXE is switched off in BIOS of the PC.
Resulting in the same MAC addy having 2 IPs
