Hi,

This could really be a dumb question,i wanted to know is there any way or any site to know all the linux commands which are categorized. As in all the network commands,Hardware commands (ex pci, usb, scsi),Text processing commands, command which deal with permissions, command that deal with audio/video e.t.c and so on.
I know i can do a apropos ,but since i had to help a friend of mine i wanted to know if there is a site already out there. Thanks

Take a look at
http://www.oreillynet.com/linux/cmd/
http://www.pixelbeat.org/cmdline.html
I'm sure google will come up with more references.

Kind regards

You may find this useful although they are grouped in the traditional manner, but easy search by name and initial letter http://linux.die.net/man/
Alternatively, this groups by subject http://www.linuxtopia.org/online_boo...ion/index.html
