Linux Certification
 

I want to do certification in LINUX. I am working with linux from 1 year. I want to give only exam by doing self study. please help

Great that you're considering getting certified and that you want to do it through self study. But have you decided already what certification you will go for? Vendor specific or vendor free, for example, Red Hat certified or LPI? If you want to go at your own pace, buy a/some good books, read online and most important, practice what you learn along the way.

Welcome to LQ. I understand your query being the same countryman.
I'll safely assume you have been working on RedHat Enterprise Linux or Ubuntu as in India a general mass consider Linux as simply RedHat Linux or these days Ubuntu too.

If you want to get certified with employment specific reasons, would suggest you to go for RHCE certification. There are other vendor specific certifications for Unix-based products like HP-Unix, IBM-AIX, Oracle-Solaris etc, however my suggestion would be RHCE first.

Vendor free in laymen terms means the product is not locked to/property of any specific vendor, generally educational organizations conduct these ones, I'm not aware of anything except LPIC (which holds no particular recognition in India as far I saw).

Then, if somehow you decide to go for RHCE, I'd advise
you to get "Michael Jang"'s RHCE book. It is a must, IMO.

BTW, choosing certifications also depend on the country
where you are planning to try for a job.
