Linux Backup
Hi All,
I have installed a linux fileserver and details are... OS : Redhat Linux 7.3 Tape Drive : 4 mm 20/40GB DAT (internal) Tape Drive : Compaq StorageWorks 8/16 Cartridge AutoLoader My user data is very critical, I want to depend on the backups in case of disasters. My requirement is to take full backup once in a week i.e. Sunday and incremental backups from Mon-Sat. Apart from the users data, I want to take OS backup and this should be useful in case, if my linux corruption. I am providing df -k output for reference. Take a look at the 'dump' command. Also do a search on this site. There are a lot of threads with different peoples opinions on how to backup.(Certainly don't listen to just me...see what others have to say)
