Linux Apache
Hi
I am working on CentOS. I believe Apache is already installed on the machine; so I did Quote:

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:8080. So i tried [QUOTE][root@localhost sbin]# netstat -an | grep 8080 [root@localhost sbin]# [QUOTE] but no results! Help me please. |
Hello,
Did you configure Apache to listen on port 8080? Standard Apaches listens on port 80 and unless you configured it to listen on another port or configured a VirtualHost listening on that port, those results are normal behavior. Try just to open http://localhost without a port, which will connect to port 80 on your localhost. Kind regards, Eric |
Hey, thanks for that. I wonder how simple my problem was! :)

Hi,
Does that mean it's working and you just were confused about the ports? Kind regards, Eric EDIT: I guess it does since you marked your thread as solved. Thanks. |
