Linux antivirus?
do i need an antivirus for Linux>? im not sure what virus are that attack linux systems, but i would imagine an antivirus program wouldnt be a bad idea...is their one?

That depends: is it a mail server or not?
mail server for windows machines -> yes otherwise -> no If it's your machine. Don't open an attachment you don't know what is and you'll be fine. You'll probably be fine anyway since most viruses don't infect linux ;) |
Take a look at this thread

its not a mail server, just a work station i guess.. i have win2k/RH 7.2 dual boot.
what about spyware? |
To prevent spyware you need a firewall like netfilter
http://www.netfilter.org/ and tripwire is always a good idea if your interested in security http://www.tripwire.com/ |
