linux and aol

Hi as you can probably tell by this question Iknow nothing about linux
my reason for changing is being disabled I cannot afford to now replace winxp home after being told that I have used the registation and product key too many times. I already have broadband via aol. I am thinking of getting suse 10.0 to install on now clean hardrive. so does this mean I will have to find another isp

Hi and welcome to LQ :D You can use AOL and Linux - but you won't have the AOL browser. A search of the forums will bring up a large number of threads on this subject.

Also, and I may get bashed for this :), if you have a legal copy of XP you can continue to use it - call Microsoft on their freephone number (should come up during the install or on activation) and explain why you can't use it anymore. They should supply you with a new code.

XavierP is spot on, though I'd also suggest that if you suffer some sort of disability then ring 'em and drop a few discrimination hints - it sometimes pays, to play nasty!
