linux+aMsn
Hello!
I have got linux (Linpus Linux Lite V1.0.15.E.) on my computer. My computer is a Acer-aspire one, I bought it yesterday, and have only been using Linux for one day. The thing is that I can't download aMsn to my computer. I have been trying several times, and from several different websites, but nothing, absolutely nothing seems to work. :( I can get save it in my computer(or at least I think that I can). But when I try to install/open it, it just comes a message saying: "The autopackage support code could not be installed. It can be manually downloaded and installed by running the installation script located in the downloaded archive." If you could help me, I'd be more than thankful! / Marielle |
Have you got Pidgin? You could use that instead of aMSN...

The AAO has an IM app called Messenger. It accepts all types of IM accounts.
The first time you launch the app it prompts you to add an account. Just follow the wizard, the first choice in setting up an account is MSN. Just put in your user name and password and sign in. All of your contacts etc. etc. are there. I have to use AIM for my job and I use my AAO to check in on the off hours. |
