Unhappy Linux 8 , WinNT/2K server access???

Hello guys! I tried to mount a Win2K share folder using 'Smbmnt ' but it didn't work!
I'm using Redhat Linux 8, I tried

"smbmount //scusu-server/all-users /home/ps02a261/linux U commonuser"

and it gives me
"993: Connection to scusu-server failed
SMB connection failed"

what could be the wrong??
Thanks guys
