linux 7.1 open cd door/put cd in/-->now what?

hello!
1.
perhaps it is a dumb question but....
i got a 450 pII 128 mb 52X cdrom
i downloaded redhat 7.1 disks1 &2
burned the ISO's into two cdr's
so far so good.
when i booted from the cd (7.1 cd1)
it asked me for
language/keyboardtype/wheres the media(cdrom)
then it said:
"i can not find a red hat linux CDROM in any of your
CDROM drives. please bla bla bla..."
what does it mean?
i tried with a diff cdrom, it gave me the same window.
text mode install - same thing...
HOWEVER, when i used a redhat5.2 from a 4dummies book, it didnt have a problem.
could it be the burning process is undetectable? but then why
would it load the initial screens?
arggg

id appreciate any input

2.
i originally attempted to load redhat5.2
it went thrugh the install fine
i logged in, when tried to run stratx
the machine told me:
"errno=111"
"no such process (errno3), server error"
anyone???

You think your aving bother I burnt 7 discs before i finally got this same problem sorted.....

I can tell you now that it is, as you suspected a burning issue (if you'll pardon the pun). You need to use the software correctly to get the pc to recognise the iso image.

Check out http://www.linuxiso.org/cdburninginfo.html a fine site for downloads as well as this crutial information....worked for me - rh7.1 installed and online - just sound doesnt work yet - should be a laugh.

Hope this helps

i think he's right, possibly a download and burn issue, might want to see if anyone near you has original CD's that they know work, or try making the boot disk with the rawrite util and see if it does the same thing.

btw, thanks for the how to site.
