I hear there is a way to get into advanced mode.. Linpus Mode Hack you can then access a shell and install software. Personally I don't feel the interface was designed for me, so I replaced it with Debian.

What netbook do you have ?

I am in advance hack mode now. But still I can change it...

I dislike Linpus interface aswell but it comes with the computer (Acer Aspire). If you change OS, the insurance breaks.

I do not see in the warranty anywhere that it says the warranty is voided if you change the OS..
It does say:
They don't warrant the installed software.
They are not responsible for the installed software
They are not responsible for loss of your data
They are not responsible for damage caused by software (viruses, etc)

http://acer.com/support/itw_limit.htm

Forcing me to use the Linpus interface for a year in order to not void a warranty, would be a punishment far worse than having to pay for a product repair imho.. but maybe that's just me.

Good luck, I've found almost no information on the Linpus OS.. their website is sorely lacking in documentation.

Hehe, I think my shop have there own thoughts how to interpret the warrant.
I spoke to one of the sellers and he was absolutely clear with the warrant.

The warrant breaks if I change OS.
