Hi All,
I am running Debian with kernel 2.6.1. I have Linksys Wireless-G Pci Adapter Model No. WMP54G. I downloaded the latest ndiswrapper (version .4) and installed using the install.sh script and i believe it actually worked because I didn't see any errors. So I skipped other steps.

When I run ifconfig and iwconfig I do get results back. So I removed my ethernet cable connection to my computer and tried to browse (if wireless was loaded and working this should've worked??). But how come I am not able to connet to the internet?
I don't want to autload at boot until I am sure that wireless is working but I am confused as to why its not working.

Nevermind. I figured it out. If anyone is interested, I had to edit /etc/network/interfaces file and then it worked!!!!

Could you describe what kind off steps ya did.
I 've got ndiswrapper version 0.3 running on my suse box, with kernel 2.4.166

when i try 'd to load 0.4 install.sh my system hangs on cardctl

Did you get any error message?
I first upgraded my kernel from 2.4 to 2.6 and installed source.
I also used bcmwl5.inf and bcmwl5.sys windows files. When I ran the script file I didn't have any errors. But the README did say that if you do get any errors when running script file, try the manual steps outlined. Have you tried that?
