Question linksys wag54g router setup in fedora

Hi Everyone

I have just installed fedora 14 and would like to setup my linksys wag54g router in order for me to connect to the internet.

I'm the newest newbie ti linux been spoiled rotten by the ease of installing stuff on win7...

I need a step by step how to please as I am completely new to the command line as well.

I have uploade the quick install guide for the router, but at this stage I dont know wether I should go ahead with what the install guide says or not as I dont know what works for linux.

Please help???

Thanq ^^,

You need to set up the network connection from Fedora's network manager.
You could start from the following link and go through the steps of setting up your network:
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/...iguration.html

Are we talking about wireless or wired connection?
When it comes to the wired connection you shouldn't actually need to do anything. If you want to connect wirelessly
in most cases it's also just a question of typing out the network password and that's it.

Is your router set up properly? (If that's a wireless connection) Can you connect to the internet from Windows?

Good day

I used the quick installation guide for the router that is available on the linksys website.
By following all the steps in the guide the router and network were quickly setup.

conected to the internet without a hitch!
