Hey guys wuts up! I dloaded Red Hat 9 on my computer a couple of days ago and i was just wondering if any of you guys could set up some links for me. Maybe a walkthrough, some links for commands, some link to basic stuff...this would be of great help because i am very new to this and have very VERY limited understanding of linux... Thank you for you help! (I have some limited VB understanding...dunno if this will help)

A lot of the best links to help files can be found by looking at peoples signatures here in the forum. Browse around a bit and you are bound to find a lot of cool stuff. Search for user 'fancypiper', I know he has a ton of newbie-friendly links in his sig. Is there anything specific you are looking for?

Is it installed and booting without any problems???? If you have a software modem that you would like to use under linux then look at http:\\www.linmodems.org
Also the official linux site: http:\\www.linux.org has a few lessons on how to use linux and lots of tips. If you want to understand linux then I would buy a book on it. I bought "Fedora All in one desk reference for dummies". I am a linux noob myself and I found it very informative.

That's an excellent link Xavier. I've been administering linux systems for close to 3 years and it's been my only OS for nearly a year now....and RUTE just taught me a few new and very useful things!

hehe - I printed it out at work - it fills an arch lever file. A huge book, full of Linuxy goodness :)
