jordan023 10-14-2005 12:17 AM

im using redhat 9

DropSig 10-14-2005 12:24 AM

if really wnat limewire, get the packages j2re. google around, it should'nt be hard to find redhat is a pretty big distro. but if i was you i would give a try at gtk-gnutella.

jordan023 10-14-2005 12:33 AM

ok i just tried gnutella and i did the ./Configre then did the make install and shit.. then i went to execute it, it said unknown command

You need to install the java jdk or jre rpm from java.sun.com, then install LimeWire afterwards.

Ray_Kovecses 10-14-2005 12:13 PM

yeah this is what I do

grab the jre.bin from sun..... not the rpm

then chmod 777 the jre file

then i

sudo mkdir /usr/java

then

mv jre-whateverversion /usr/java

cd /usr/java

then run the .bin file

limewire looks in /usr/java for jre as default

then it works

but gtk-gnutella is also nice

Ray_Kovecses 10-14-2005 02:39 PM
