Can anyone tell me why when I download an MP3 from lime wire, and I go into K3B to drag the file down to burn it, I am not able to do it? It says something about an unsupported format. Is there a way I can get this to work?
For legal reasons, mp3 support has been left out of several current Linux distributions.
You will be able to find packages which enable mp3 support on your machine if you do a search (either here or on Google) for "your distribution's name" and "mp3 support."
or even easier since k3b uses lame for its mp3 support then just search in what ever your packagemer manager is for your distro for lame and then install it that will allow you to brun and audio cd from mp3 files and rip to mp3 from cd etc etc. its gstreamer-lame for gnome apps and just lame for all other apps (as far as I know).
