lilo install error

can any one tell me what this means
Code:
Warning: The boot sector and map file are on different disks.
i got this while tring to install a new kernel but fail on it, its been a while since i been on linux and i cant seem to get linux-2.6.5 installed but anyways.. when i reinstall lilo i get that error

Code:
boot = /dev/hda

image = /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.22
  root = /dev/hdb2
  label = Slackware 9.1
  read-only # Non-UMSDOS filesystems should be mounted read-only for checking

image=/boot/bzImage-2.6.5
 label=test-2.6.5
 root=/dev/hdb2
 read-only

# Linux bootable partition config ends
# DOS bootable partition config begins
other = /dev/hda1
  label = Winblows
  table = /dev/hda
# DOS bootable partition config ends
the second part of the config was just a test to see if the kernel was installed well but it wasnt all i get is a black screen.. but maybe its because of the above error, any help?

it's clearly not an error, but a warning, hence the "Warning:" bit. it will still have installed but it's not the best setup. the message itself, "The boot sector and map file are on different disks." should pretty much speak for itself. your boot sector is on hda yet you are booting to hdb, which means you are dependant on both disks to boot, which isn't that great an idea... that's all it's saying.
