Quote:
Fatal: Image name, label, or alias contains a blank character: 'Windows 1'
get rid of the space in 'windows 1'. change it to 'window1' or whatever and try again.

Ok, I explain - may be I should start at beginning -

Ie got to HD:

One with only windows installed and aothe sharing windows and Linux (Mandrake 9.1).

The question is that on the sharing HD (Linux & WinXP), no troubles I can log it 9one or other). But if I try to log the other windows which is on the other disk, the troubles begin... it goes allways to the same windows on the sharing HD. Thatīs what I want to do , is to log the other windows..!

So the second's Win XP? Where are these disks? For example, the Linux-WinXP first disk is probably on Primary Master, right? Where is the second disk? Where was the 2nd hd when you installed the second Windows?

hmm. I suspect that's a problem with the windows bootloader on /dev/hda1.

Just out of curiosity. What happens when you leave out the entry for /dev/hde1 in your lilo.conf and reinstall lilo? Does it still load windows from hde1? (You can always add the entry for hde1 back in).

You might try asking on windows forums for how to boot different windows installs on separate drives.

If you installed the second Windows while the second hd was primary master, you'll have to adjust the second hd's boot.ini, otherwise the 2nd XP bootloader will keep loading the first Windows. In the 2nd Win's C:\boot.ini you'll find lines somewhat like this:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)
The above corresponds to /dev/hda1. One of the 2 middle ones is for determining whether the disk is slave or master, and the the one that isn't is for scsi disks. 'multi' is for which controller (secondary or primary)

Ok,

The 1st. I installed WinXP on the primary master and was installed before I install LINUX. The other disk is an SATA and it is in primary RAID controler. When I start the Pc it run the SATA as a boot. What I want is log this old winXP.

Hi,

The solution passed thru a new Mandrake intallation again. Now the 2 windowsXP are logging perfectly, but no Linux. If I try to log, a black monitor appears. Even to install the Mandrake I needed to go to Text mode. I suspect that the drivers of my Gforce F5200 128MB, could not be start on boot by Mandrake.... N ideia?
