lilo:***warning :device exceed 1024***


When I run lilo here is what I get :

warning:device...exceed 1024 cylinder limit.


What am I supposed to do ?

I've got it. I replaced linear in the lilo.conf with lba32.

That looks like your bootpartition is outside of the 1024 cyl limit.Check for the version of lilo;if it is antique get a newer one.
If your BIOS is old get a new one.
Alternatively put a small /boot partition within the first 1024 cylinders of your hd.
