Libre Office formatting and print problems affecting all documents

I need to formulate a sheet for a rota for 10 people for 6 months. The problem I have is that it must on a single sheet of A4 paper landscape orientation on one side.
I have worked around this and managed to achieve the correct size by reducing the font size. When I try to print each rota the sheet is printed with a left margin of 3.5 cm. Because of this margin the right hand side is cut off by the same amount. I have checked to page set up and have set the document margins to 1.25 cm all round.
If I print a document with a portrait orientation the margin is at the top and the bottom of the document is cut off.
Is this a problem with Libre Office software I have Version: 4.2.8.2
Build ID: 420m0(Build:2) installed and a Brother DCP195C Printer.
I am running Mint 17.2 Qiana
Thanks

Two immediate questions:

. Have you tried printing a document from any other software to determine whether it is LibreOffice or the printer that's causing the problem?

. Are you using LibreOffice Calc or Writer?

Hello
I am using Writer and formulation the rota with a table.
Secondly I have just tried printing a web page and it has the same print problem so it appears to be the printer.
I have reinstalled the drivers and it has made no difference.

Ok. Have a look at this:

https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic....444767#p444767

It suggests the problem may be a paper size issue, with the Brother defaulting to Letter size and manual page setting not overriding this. Are you attempting to print to A4?

If so, it suggests

Code:
brprintconfij2 -P PRINTER_NAME -pt A4
to switch the paper size to A4.

You will have to replace PRINTER_NAME with your printer (the example used MFC210C for another model, yours will be similar).

Edit: Sorry, it looks as if what you need to run is:

Code:
sudo brprintconf_dcp195c -pt A4
(source: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-dcp195c/)

Hello hydrurga thanks very much not printing correctly
Thanks for your help
I'm glad to have got this sorted as I've dumped M$ and only use Mint for all my work now.

I assume you mean "now printing correctly". Great to hear.

Don't you love how printers always ask us what type of paper we put in it? lol..
