Hello everybody, I am a newcomer to the Linux community and have encountered quite a few problems up until now, even with installing Linux on my laptop. I still consider it to be a very good tool and wish to continue using it.

The problem is I write very many text on my computer and am in desperate need of a functioning auto-correct tool.

I tried adding some spelling mistakes that I usually do, and they just won't apply.
I am working in the Microsoft Word 2007/2010 format because I don't know any other format and I've been using this on Windows up until now.
I work as a freelance translator and want my files to be compatible.

Sorry for the long post. Please let me know what to do to ammend this, and please let me know what version of Linux is the best to use.

Have you installed Libreoffice's spell check dictionaries for your language? In the Tools menu select the second item. Place your cursor over it and a second menu opens up. Place your cursor over For All Text and another menu opens up. Make sure your language is listed as the first item. If it's not there then move your cursor down to the bottom item, More and click on that to find the language that you wish to use.

Open a document and look at the centre of the bar long the bottom. You should see the name of your language there if all is well.
