libpcap error
 

dear all
I am trying to install snort 2.9 on my centos 5.4 machine. Its showing libcap missing error. Error is
libpcap.so.1 is needed
I checked and found that libpcap 0.9.4 is installed so i installed libpcap1.1 in /usr/local/lib while libpcap0.9.4 is still installed in /usr/lib. But installing snort still giving same error, what should i do?

What is the result of running ls -l /usr/local/lib/libpcap.so.1? If it is a link, is the link valid (does it point to a file that actually exists)?
