Question least power sucking distro for vaio vgn sz 440


i have an sz 440 ihave already installed ultimate edition on it i have left 40 gb partition for another distro which :

allows me to browse web with flash
has iwl 3945 wifi drivers
lxde or gnome
allows me to download torrents
sucks least power from the laptop battery which normally works for 1.5 hrs

will tune settings
compiz not required

You might want to look into LXDE *it's a desktop, not a distro (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lxde), Moblin, Ubuntu Netbook Remix, or Xubuntu, all of which are deisgned for netbooks and computers with lower power. If you're willing to look beyond lxde and gnome, the moblin interfaces is quite ingenious, and xfce is FAST

my laptops got 1gb ram n i just want a distro which would get 2.5 to 3 hrs out of my 1.5 hr battery
i also wanna change settings to make it more power efficient

For power optimization, install and follow the advices given by "powertop"...
