About dot com has a pretty good section about Linux.

You can find a wealth of information at the Linux Documentation Project. My favorite is Machtelt Garrels's Introduction to Linux, which is available in several formats a short way down this page.

But the best thing you can do to learn it is to use it for day-to-day computing. It's not hard; it's just different.
