Hi Folks,

I need you help in Adminstering and managing LDAP server in Debian linux. we are using it for authentication purposes.

Actualy the server is laready setup and running fine. now it is handed over to me as a part of the project. now i have to do administration task on this LDAP server.

the is one task assigned to me that i need to assign permission to "mahi_nix" to logging on to our webportal. we have a group which is name "web_group".

i am new in LDAP configuration and management so don't know what to do for this task. i dont know is this "mahi_nix" user created in my LDAP server or not. so please help me to find the user detail and how can i execute this task.

Thanks in Advance,

There's a good HOWTO for LDAP here http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/w...DAP_and_RADIUS (ignore RADIUS bit)

Debian SysAdmin manuals http://www.linuxtopia.org/online_boo...ion_index.html
