ldap authentication

Hi,

I have an existing ldap server which runs in ubuntu 12. And i want to use the existing ldap on our local server for authentication.
What do i need to do for it? How can I configure it?

NOTE: I connect to the existing ldap server through tunnel.

It would be great if anyone could help me out.
Thanks.

Wow, this sounds familiar:

Same thing as said previously: look up any of the MANY how-to guides and follow them. Some of the VERY FIRST HITS in Google for "how to configure ubuntu 12 to authenticate to an ldap server" are:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LD...Authentication
https://www.digitalocean.com/communi...untu-12-04-vps

A 'tunnel' doesn't matter one tiny bit....as long as you can contact your LDAP server, that's all that matters.
