ld-linux.so.1 not found?

Just installed one of the recent FreeBSD packages(5.2) with the linux binary compatibility. I'm trying to run some games like quake and doom, but they require a ELF binary file from the /compat/linux/lib/ directory "ld-linux.so.1".

libc/glibc is installed that I know of because the quake2 console runs. I checked the /compat/linux/lib/ directory and I have ld-linux.so.2 but not ld-linux.so.1

is there a way I can download this file? preferabable a tar(rpm is crazy), or maybe even manipulate the executable to not load this file?

Thanks

aight, Computer Associates claim that this binary can be tainted from potential hackers. They said the last version has this problem. They recommend upgrading the os to fix this problem.

Is this binary old news? If I'm using a pretty recent release of any unix based os, would I have to worry about this problem(I'm asking because it seems that FreeBSD didn't install ld-linux.so.1)?
