Question lastb - /var/log/btmp help

Quick question about the lastb command and the btmp log.

When I run this command I get a lot of entries like the following:

(unknown tty13 0.0.0.0 Mon Apr 9 13:39 - 13:39 (00:00)

Why would I be getting login attempts with no IP address?

Thanks,
- J

It would be good to know what distro this is, but /dev/ttynn usually denotes a locally attached terminal (effectively the console keybd).
Hence not a network login, hence no IP
