Question RH laptop install help

I am trying to install redhat 7.2 on an ibm thinkpad 570 2644-cdu. Specs: 128 meg ram, 333 mhz PII, 10 gig hard drive. I do not have a cd rom. I have a backpack cd rom but I can not boot off of it. I also have not been able to get linux 5.3 redhat to recognize it. What I did to het 5.3 to work is a hard drive copy of the cd rom from windows. But when I tried that with 7.2 I found that the 7.2 cdrom has transtables embedded. This meant that when the install process was going, it would ask me for the location of the redhat directory. When I typed it in the setup process told me that it could not find the directory table. I would really like to do a net install but my nic is microsoft. (dam' radioshack). If anyone has an idea on how to install 7.2 redhat on a laptop without a cd rom I would be most appreciative.

Thank you,
Auric

It is a think pad with an external floppy. I do not have a cd rom drive. But I do ave a backpack cd rom drive. It plugs into the parrelle port, it works with windows but not linux. So when I copyed the 5.3 redhat cdrom over to my hardrive and did the install it worked because the 5.3 uses the trans.tbl file system where as the 7.2 uses an embeded file system that will not copy. I was thinking that if I can find a way to copy 7.2 over to my harddrive than I could install it. But I can not copy the hidden file system that linux install uses to identify the files on the cdrom. Thank you

maybe this file can help you,
its an installation manual of rh 7.2

Normaly i should think that you must create a boot disk specialy for network installation
