Talking Lack of understanding the "grub" setup and multibooting.

After installing a Linux OS, I am in much doubt if grub was set up on MBR or the Linux partition.

How can I find out if grub is on hd0,0 or hd0,7?

cat /etc/grub/grub.conf, or when you get the grub menu just press a,e or something to check it there.
