Kubuntu with Fluxbox: Screensavers and power management?

Hello all,

I have Kubuntu 13.10 up and running and I decided to give Fluxbox a try so I installed it via Muon with no issues. Now in my login manager I'm able to select Fluxbox as an option and log in without any problems. I have a few related questions.

1.) I don't believe Fluxbox uses Kubuntu's screensavers - should it?
2.) If not, should I go with something like xscreensaver?
3.) I've noticed that in Fluxbox, after some time of inactivity the screen turns off. Where do I configure the time it takes to turn off the screen?

If your display uses dpms, that could be why the screen is blanking.

I'm unsure as to why you'd want to use fluxbox in a KDE distribution? You'd be better off with a lighter distribution and just installing xorg, fluxbox and whatever else you need from scratch...

Anyway, to load the screensaver, or anything else, you need to add it to your ~/.fluxbox/startup

Any services (e.g. network and volume applets, power manager, etc) you want to run at startup need to be added here.
