Kubuntu installation
 

Greetings,as I am new to this os, I have a question lol I have tried ubuntu and I liked it but I was informed that Kubuntu is more similar to windows 7 which i have.I tried to install Kubuntu with wubi it install all right but when I went to reboot,all that came up was a blank screen(bluish/grey with a cog(wheel)in the center of the screen.Any advice is always appreciated.Thanks

It sounds like the gdm3 greeter is not launching for some reason. Try this to at least get into gnome, and then work from there:

CTRL + ALT + F1

for a terminal.

Log in with you user name and password. Type:

ps aux | grep gdm | awk '{print $2}' | xargs sudo kill $1

Then type:

startx

and it should work. Then, you have to further research the problem. I haven't been able to find a solution for the problem I think you're having.
