kubuntu install problem with nvidia 7900gs
 
I am trying to install kubuntu 8,04 on a system which ran the prior kubuntu fine. The only change other than version was that I went from an nvidia 7300 to nvidia 7900gs.

Other than scrambled video when kubuntu is booted or when I try to boot from the run disk the install its self seems to go OK.

Try the nv /nouveau driver, then the proprietary driver.

I am afraid I am much the beginner. If i install (dual boot win xp) I am sitting there with a nonsense screen. Is this something I need to do from command line and if so how?
