Kubuntu dapper sound problem, HELP!
 

Hello again, my second post, and yet another problem!

I'm using Kubuntu dapper 6.06 and now i cant play music or any sound anymore. When i installed this distro, the sound worked fine but after a reboot, xmms says that it couldnt open audio, BUT I CAN HEAR YOUTUBE SOUNDS. The drivers should be ok, the mixer is configured properly, but still no sound.

EDIT: The web browser plays music, but the other apps say that some program might be blockin the soundcard. If i turn opera off, it wont help :O so what program can it be?

Any help would be greately appreciated :)

try looking and maybee posting the output of ps -ax maybee you can find the locking process there and kill him with sudo kill number xxxxx

This is strange, somehow now my sound works, and i havent done anything :) thanks anyway;)

Sorry for bumping a rather old topic but, yet another problem encountered :( I can play music with amarok etc now BUT no other sound on my computer plays. So i cant watch videos on youtube or watch videos from my hdd or dvds. What to do? I have tried to configure Kmix but nothing helped so i switched it back to normal settings so i could hear my music
