Angry Kscd Problems

Okay, I've been trying to fix this for at least 3 hours, and I can't make /anything/ work. Kscd could read my cdrom drive perfectly fine about 3 boots ago, but now it comes up with that permissions error thing. I've tried all the solutions I could find on the 'net, but not one of them has worked so far. Anyone have any other suggestions? I'm desperate here! I mean, A day ago, I was totally convinced that I'd scrap window$, but now I'm not so sure...

Permissions you say? Then all you need to do is chmod 666 /dev/cdrom and chmod 666 /dev/audio and it should work...
