kpat problem
 
how to fix this:

dpkg: error processing package kpat (--configure):
package is in a very bad inconsistent state; you should
reinstall it before attempting configuration
Errors were encountered while processing:
kpat
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

fairly new to ubuntu need step by step instructions

Kpat is part of KDE which is not the standard for Ubuntu. Are you actually using Kubuntu which has KDE as the base desktop environment? The link below shows kpat as being available through the software center for Ubuntu although it only shows it through version 13.10, no longer supported. I don't know if it is available on later releases of Ubuntu. Try checking the software center to first remove it then reinstall if you can. Not sure how this will work if you are using Unity.

I put kpat in the ubuntu software center this is what came up:

KPatience Patience Card Game

It would not let me remove it

How can I remove it?
