Kopete gives message "yahoo could not log you on. Username specified is invalid"

I can log in to yahoo fine through my windows yahoo messenger but the only way I have now found to get into Kopete is to create a new user account. However, I'd like to log in with my existing accounts, and on this Kopete defeats me. Anyone have suggestions as to what I can do to solve this problem?

(and thanks r3sistance, but that's not the problem)

Did you put a typo in your username or something similar? Cross reference the username between Kopete and the one you use in windows and make sure they are the same.
