Konqueror not displaying certian sites, MDK 10
 

Hallo

I've only been using linux for a couple of weeks now, and I could not find any posts
relevant to my question...

Why wont Konqueror Display Certain Sites? yahoo, ebay, google, idforge.com?????

I have an ADSL connection that's set up correctly (i think) and I can access most web sites that deal with linux (linux.org, linuxquestions.org, winehq.org, insecure.org, sun.org).

Is this a Browser Timeout thing? < I read some documents on this, but I dont think thats my problem...

Do I need some more/up to date Plugins? <I think I have up to date plugins...

More system specs:

Celeron 2.0 Ghz, 533 FSB
384 MB DDR533
60 GB 7200/8mb cache HD
Actiontec ADSL Gateway
VIA Rhine II ethernet, onboard (eth0)

I really dont know what info I should provide, I've checked posts and I've
read the Mandrake 10 Documentation, but I cant find anything that relates to my problem....

Ok... so there's only a select few pages that can't be displayed? Can they be displayed sometimes? Do you get an error when the page tries to load? Have you tried loading it with another web browser? Did that work?

Try pinging the server... that might give you an idea on whether you are actually capable of having a connection or not.

Well, there are some pages that are NEVER displayed(yahoo, ebay, google) and they're up, then there are some pages that are ALWAYS displayed, Like linuxquestions.org, and other linux sites...

Here's my error message in Konqueror:

An error occurred while loading http://www.yahoo.com/:

Timeout on server
Connection was to www.yahoo.com at port 80

Here's my error, Mozilla:

It first says connecting to www,google.com,
then It says resolving host
then it goes back to connecting to www.google,com
Mozilla Displays this in the lower status bar, and thats all it does
for 2 Minutes, and THEN it says 'Connecting to Host http://www.google.com TIMED OUT.'

As far as pinging the server, I know I've got a connection, at least I know this if I can post on this site, but I dunno about the other sites i've tried...

Oh, and I've got all the plugins I can, and they're all enabled too.
