Konqueror keeps crashing

Whenever i try to open a webpage i am working on Konqueror crashes? Now i know that Konqueror is both a file manager and web browser, but could i safely un-install Konqueror via Synaptic? I am running PCLinuxOS 2007.

Yes, you can remove it. I'm not using synaptic but I guess it will ask you for confirmation before proceeding..

It will remove kdebase which is a meta-package which relies on all components of kde, but will not remove other components included in kdebase.
PHP Code:
root@debian# LANG=C apt-get -s remove konqueror
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information
... Done
The following packages will be REMOVED
:

amarok-konqsidebar kdebase konq-plugins konqueror konqueror-nsplugins
0 upgraded
0 newly installed5 to remove and 1 not upgraded.
Remv amarok-konqsidebar [1.4.9.1-2]
Remv kdebase [4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-2]
Remv konq-plugins [4:3.5.9-2]
Remv konqueror-nsplugins [4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-2+b1]
Remv konqueror [4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-2+b1

Before you remove it, it might be worth checking to see if this is simply a KDE configuration error.
Rename the (hidden) /home/username/.kde file to /home/username/.kde.bad
Logout ("End session")
Login again. the .kde files will be recreated with defaults.
Is konqueror any better behaved?
If so, good, but you'll have to set up your kde defaults again
If not, you can remove the new /home/username/.kde file and rename the .kde.bad one back to .kde
Logout
Login again, your defaults are back.
Konqueror is usually well-behaved, and I find it very useful. Maybe mark it for reinstallation?
