Hi everyone.

Can anyone tell me why it is so, that when I have no konqueror instance running all the same in the process table I can see one?

in kde konqueror is used for allot of things its like explorer.exe in windows with a few differences

it shouldnt make any kinda dent in speed if it does use xfce instead....

Thanks Tommy, but the reason that I am bothered with this is that I am writing an application which should open some url with konqueror with the following behaviour: if a konqueror istance is already running, it should open the url in that already running instance, otherwise it should open new konqueror and use that new one. But I can not do that because no matter konqueror istance is running or not, the process table shows as if it is running, similarily when I use "ps" command is also displays konqueror istance in all cases.

ooohhh i see im not that big into scripting/programing so i wouldnt know that

oh and why not just try something like firefox or oppera to open the url?

Just there is a requirement to do it with mozilla and konqueror. With mozilla I have already done but konqueror has some difficulties. Anyway thanks
