konqueror does not seem to update

usually using Debian but this is across the board-: never see an upgrade automatically for 'konqueror' when I 'apt-get upgrade'?

Start Synaptic. Look up konqueror. Does is have the same version number as other kde packages?

The last stable release of Konqueror is 4.14.3, released in November 2014, and on many repos even that isn't available e.g. the latest version available in the Trusty/Mint17 repos is 4.14.2.

Are you sure you want to be pointing a browser that hasn't been updated in so long at the internets?

Unless of course you're just using it for file management. Even then...

quite,something that has access to the users files perhaps should not be used on the internet?
